Suppliers of timber products that show respect for the world we live in listed below
There has been widespread destruction of British woodlands in recent years and this is reflected in countries all over the world. Choosing products from sustainable forests ensures that we are not contributing to the decline of the worlds forests, always look for products that meet the Friends of the Earth Code of Conduct for the timber trade or have the Forest Stewardship Council symbol (FSC), other indications that the product is from a sustainable source are approvals from the Woodland Trust, the WWF, and the British Woodworking Federation.
Reclaimed wood will have been harvested many years ago and gives us beautiful, mature timber and protects our remaining woodlands. Please try to avoid tropical hardwoods
