Autogenic Therapy

Autogenic Training is a self-help method – Autogenic means “self-created” or “generated from within”.  It consists of a series of simple exercises that calm the mind and can bring about profound relaxation and relief from stress.

Autogenic training was developed during the 1920s by a German psychiatrist and neurologist Johannes Scultz; his work resulted in a therapy that has all the benefits of yoga and hypnosis without having to learn either of these techniques!

Over 3000 scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of Autogenic Therapy; it is particularly useful for stress-related disorders, tension, insomnia, anxiety and has even been shown to help health conditions such as high blood pressure.   Autogenic Training is used extensively in business and sport to enhance performance and reduce stress.

Autogenic Therapy enables clients to utilise their own internal capacity for self-healing and self-development.  A qualified practitioner can teach you the skills which you can carry on yourself throughout life to maintain balance and cope with stress.
