Acupressure is an ancient healing art sometimes referred to as acupuncture without the needles.

It is a holistic therapy developed in Asia over 5,000 years ago that promotes life force energy and stimulates the bodies own ability to heal itself.   Acupressure and acupuncture use the same meridians (energy lines) of the body, pressure on these points reduces tension, improves the circulation and promotes deep relaxation.

There are several different styles of acupressure some of which are fairly vigorous whilst others use a gentle application of pressure for just a few seconds on each point.
